Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of goods and materials. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Perform stocking duties, ensuring shelves are replenished and products are accessible.
- Execute picking and packing tasks accurately for outgoing shipments.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and deadlines.
Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in forklift operation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
- Experience in construction or related fields can enhance understanding of materials used in the warehouse.
